  1. TIPS ON USING NOAH'S ARK CUSTOM COMMAND LINES & BATCH FILES

  4. Custom command lines are the most powerful feature within NOAH, and listed
  5. below are some examples that I have seen used frequently.

  7.                        NOAH PLACES
  8.                       THE MARKED SET
  9.       FRONT            HERE FOR YOU         BACK              PUPOSE

  12. PKZIP -a  YOUR.ZIP        #                > PRN           Monitor activity
  13.                                                            of a large batch
  14.                                                            while you are away.
  15.  
  16. PKUNZIP -t                #                                Test Archive
  17.                                                            Integrity
  18.  
  19. PKUNZIP                   #              X:\subdir\sibdir  UNZIP to target
  20.                                                            drive & subdir.
  21.  
  22. XCOPY                     #              X:\subdir . .     Make a special
  23.                                                            NOATMP.BAT to
  24.                                                            allow a series of
  25.                                                            odd-lot copies of
  26.                                                            many files.  Exit
  27.                                                            and rename it for
  28.                                                            later use!

  34. Need to read a new directory?  SHELL to DOS from MAIN MENU, and then
  35. EXIT back.  The option is given upon re-entry.

  44. Can't recall all the options in PKZIP?  Shell to DOS and make reference
  45. files as follows....

  47. PKZIP ? > PKZIP.OPT
  48. PKUNZIP > PKUNZIP.OPT
  49.  
  50. And then you can LIST or VIEW those files later, when you cannot recall that
  51. odd option.
